Westward Look has the secrets of the desert for natural relaxation and rejuvenation. The new Spa Wellness Garden, a signature feature of the resort, enhances the calming and contemplative aura of the famed Sonoran Spa.
Located adjacent to the spa, the garden is the source for native botanicals like sage, jojoba, rosemary, lavender and aloe used in the spa’s luxurious specialty services.
A recent spa offering, the ‘Will You Rosemary Me’ couple’s scrub, combines fresh, home grown rosemary, lavender and lemongrass, leaving the skin smooth and soft to the touch.
The rosemary increases circulation to give skin a perfect glow, while the lavender relaxes and quiets the mind, and the lemongrass stimulates the senses.
“It is the source of the herbs and native plants featured in our desert-inspired spa treatments.”
Another unique feature of the Spa Wellness Garden is the personalised, immersion experience it provides.
Guests select a treatment, then visit the garden to learn about the herbs being used, watch the herbs being mixed for their own treatment and finally indulge in the treatment itself.
“As an additional benefit, anything not used during the treatment leaves with the guest as our gift,” said Jeff Schott, spa director.
“It’s like bringing a bit of the Sonoran Spa experience back home with you.”
The Spa Wellness Garden is one of five specialty gardens on the resort’s 80 acres of pristine desert landscape, including the Butterfly & Hummingbird Garden, Chef’s Garden and Herb Garden.
The Sonoran Spa is well known for unique services that nurture and restore body, mind and soul at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa.
“We encourage all our spa guests to wander our Spa Wellness Garden,” said Schott.
“It’s a tranquil and revitalising experience all on its own.”
