Sand Ridge Golf Club ppened in 1911 and built by its first golf professional, W.H. “Bert” Way, the Mayfield course features rolling terrain, tree lined fairways and two streams that run through the 235 acre property. Known for its fine conditioning and fast greens, the course offers unique challenges to all types of players. With par at 71, it is easy to be deceived, as there are five par three holes.
From any length players find themselves with varying lies which require shots to be hit to small, undulating and well bunkered greens. The tournament course record of 63 by Byron Nelson (1941) has yet to be broken.
