The San Francisco Golf Club is a notable and attractive course was originally designed in 1915 by A.W. Tillinghast, but had to be modified in 1950 when the City of San Francisco ran a freeway through the east end of the property.

Then in 2001, the club retained “retro-traditionalist” architect Tom Doak to restore all 18 of Tillinghast’s greens and other characteristics of the original layout.

This is an extremely private club; visitors are permitted only as guests of members.
