The Pierre, New York, A Taj Hotel occupies a choice corner right on Central Park, where Midtown’s upscale shopping merges into the residential elegance of the Upper East Side. One of the city’s original grande dame properties, the hotel is managed by Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and offers a stunning blend of old-world glamour and contemporary innovation.
The Grand Ballroom, one of New York’s eminent wedding spots, has a restored trompe l’oeil ceiling and historic rotunda, while other public spaces boast a more modern sensibility, like the Art Deco inspired Two E Bar/Lounge created by designers Alexandra Champalimaud and Edwarth Melcarth. Guest rooms are understated with sumptuous touches, like silk fabrics and original artwork. The exceptional concierge team can arrange everything from picnic hampers and concert tickets to a private jet.
